Toyota has launched four brand new models via a 40sec commercial. This is a very exciting moment for Toyota in a time when the vehicle industry as a whole is in turmoil, and reinforces Toyotas market leading credentials, having the strength to launch four new vehicles across four categories. In the commercial, the four models featured; Verso, iQ, Urban Cruiser and Avensis, are seen to be magically unveiled from one vehicle to the next by various characters in one clever, graceful, uninterrupted, live action sweep of the camera. Directed by Brett Foracker, the choreography alone to obtain such a technical single camera movement required days of rehearsals. Adding to this exciting production challenge is the instantly lovable soundtrack ‘Love You’ from New York 60’s jazz group Free Design. The 40sec commercial runs in tandem with a nationwide press campaign, both being part of a fully integrated communications campaign also including regional press, online, website, direct, and POS.
